Charles Dupplin

Charles Dupplin, CEO, Hiscox Bermuda

Charles Dupplin, Chief Executive Officer, Hiscox Bermuda, Company Secretary, Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. Charles joined Hiscox in 1990.

He ran Hiscox’s network of Continental European offices from 1995 to 2000.

Charles then became Chairman of the Hiscox Art and Private Client division, which specialises in fine art and high net worth household insurance.

Relocating to Bermuda in 2009, he took up the position of Chief Executive Officer for Hiscox Bermuda and also became Company Secretary.

Additionally, Charles is responsible for the Group’s mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions.

Charles began his career in 1985 at Credit Suisse First Boston Ltd as an associate in corporate finance. He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University and is a qualified Barrister.

Charles has been chairman of the Royal Caledonian Trust since 1997, is President of the London Members of the National Trust for Scotland and is a member of the Royal Company of Archers, the Queen’s Bodyguard for Scotland.
