Greg Richardson, EVP, Underwriting Strategy & Risk Analytics
Greg Richardson serves as Executive Vice President, Underwriting Strategy & Risk Analytics of Alterra Capital.
Prior to the merger of Max Capital and Harbor Point in 2010, Greg served as Chief Underwriting Officer of Harbor Point Re Limited, having joined the company in 2006.
From November 2002 to December 2005, he was Executive Vice President, Global Property & Marine at Platinum Underwriters Reinsurance, Inc.
From December 2001 to October 2002, he was Executive Vice President, Finite Reinsurance, at St. Paul Re, a subsidiary of St. Paul.
From 2000 to 2001, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at St. Paul Financial Solutions, a division of St. Paul Re.
From 1992 to 2000, he served in various managerial and underwriting positions with US F&G and its subsidiary, F&G Re, which was acquired by St. Paul Re.
From 1984 to 1992, he was a management consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton.
Mr. Richardson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Purdue University, was a Marshall Scholar at Oxford University reading Mathematics and Economics, and earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
