As head of XL Insurance's Professional Lines team Asia, Dr. Carsten Keune works closely with brokers across the region to meet the increasing demand for D&O and other Professional Lines products.
After studying law at Bonn University, Dr. Keune worked for various NGOs and law firms in Beijing and Sydney, before being employed by Gerling Insurance in Cologne and London as D&O Claims Manager. In 2000 he moved to Allianz in Munich as Senior Underwriter for D&O in the corporate client segment, supporting the development of foreign D&O underwriting units. He joined XL Insurance in 2003 as Professional Lines Underwriting Manager for Continental Europe & Asia.
Dr. Keune is the author of numerous articles on Professional Lines Insurance and an active speaker at conferences in Europe and Asia. He is based at XL Insurance's Asia hub in Singapore.
