Insurance Day Summit London 2012

Over the last two days more than 50 chief executives and senior management speakers from the London market and further afield took to the Insurance Day stage to deconstruct a number of regulatory, capital management and underwriting challenges facing their business.

The summit provided a fresh perspective on the three Rs which so often dominate the London market – risk, regulation and reform.

This year’s wide-ranging agenda was no different. The carefully selected keynote speakers and panel participants helped to design and define London’s role in today’s global insurance market, with expert opinion being provided from a compelling mix of key industry stakeholders, regulators and political figures.

Summit delegates gained a strategic insight into a number of internal and external risk factors, including how to ensure continuing operational efficiency while meeting the challenges posed by ever-evolving regulatory regimes; improving underwriting profitability against the backdrop of the continuing economic downturn; and the impact that changes across the political and financial worlds have on the way London’s insurance operations conduct business.

The London market has always thrived on co-operation and the summit provides an ideal platform to leverage that. This year’s event provided a first class opportunity to learn from, network and build relationships with like-minded executives, therefore embodying the collaborative spirit which so defines the sector.
