Carl Phillips

Carl Phillips, Head of Market Operations, Lloyd’s

Carl joined Lloyd’s as Head of Market Operations in November 2008 with responsibility for all Lloyd’s market change projects in London and internationally.

Previously, Carl was Head of Operational Services at Amlin plc responsible for Change Management, Programme Management and the provision of Operational Support including IT.

Carl has over 20 years senior management experience in the insurance industry with Lloyd’s Managing Agents, International Insurance Companies and International Insurance Brokers in Front and Back Office Operations Management in underwriting and claims, Programme/Project Management and Change Management.

Carl’s original background was construction having studied Building (Technology and Management) at the University of Aston in Birmingham.

Carl is a Chartered Surveyor (Project Management Faculty) and Chartered Builder as well as having a MBA from Kingston University.
