David Gittings

David Gittings, Chief Executive, Lloyd's Market Association

David Gittings is Chief Executive of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA).

His early career was spent in the London Stock Exchange where, as Head of Corporate Membership, he worked on the modernisation of the stock market which resulted in ‘Big Bang’ in 1986.

He was Director of  Regulation at Lloyd’s from 1995 to 2002 where he developed and implemented a regulatory regime at Lloyd’s fit for FSA purposes ahead of the changeover to statutory regulation at the end of 2001.

He became Chief Executive of the LMA in January 2007.
